What a great night! Thank you all so much for hosting the event and for getting George to hang out with us and speak his mind. It left me wondering on the way home, though, about follow-up. Would anyone else be interested in a roundtable conversation on the "George Takeaway" as it were? In chatting afterward with several folks, including my CD, we all commiserated on the various ways in which we feel we get one hand tied behind our back; the ways in which we can not take the liberties George took. I'd love to hear from our colleagues about their thoughts on how to capture The Big Idea in an era of cover testing, focus groups, and infinitely recycled lines at the behests of "experts" and "cover consultants". Anyone else think that's worth putting together?

It's good stuff, as usual, lots of great stories from back-in-the-day.
