• Job Description:
  Interactive Media & Technology Design  Wired is seeking a Sr. Interactive Designer to join its Interactive Design team in San Francisco. This person will be a part of a multi-disciplinary digital creative team focused on envisioning and designing content experiences for web, tablet and mobile for the Wired brand.  Must be able to: Design simple, elegant and intuitive user experiences Create strong visual languages for sites and mobile applications Develop community-driven experiences that promote high user engagement Promote good information architecture and create strong visual hierarchy designing for dense levels of content Understand and solve for the nuances of content design patterns, functionality and differing use cases Clearly communicate ideas to both a technical and non-technical audience Multitask, working under tight deadlines and on multiple projects simultaneously

• Job Requirements: At least 7 years of digital design experience A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and relevant digital design solutions Highly skilled in the core design principles of typography, color and page layout Enthusiasm for brainstorming, iteration, and collaborative design A strong interest in designing social experiences for online communities Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML, and PHP Substantial experience with WordPress is highly preferred
