Art Assistant, Food Network Magazine

The Art Assistant supports the daily workflow of the editorial art department. He/she attaches and styles text and works with all departments to ensure on-time delivery of pages to prepress. The Art Assistant is also responsible for: Managing layouts to order high-resolution images from photo department and release to imaging department. Handling art requests from other departments. Creating presentations for the editor in chief. Ultimately, the Art Assistant will likely have the opportunity to design FOB and BOB pages and collaborate with editors and photo editors on each project from start to finish. Required Skills An in-depth knowledge of InDesign and CS5 is required. Knowledge in Woodwing or K4 preferred. Designing for tablet editions is a plus.
