Designer - Condé Nast - DETAILS

  • Job Description:
    Details is seeking an experienced designer for its editorial art department. The Designer will be responsible for taking front-of-book sections from initial design concept through final shipping for the print magazine, which includes creating preliminary layouts to be reviewed with the Design Director and Creative Director, working with editor to adjust pages for text concerns, and working with the production department to finalize layout components as part of the magazine's shipping process. The Designer will also assist in creating graphics for details.com.
    This position will report to the Design Director.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Creating layouts in InDesign for assigned front-of-book sections.
    • Managing the design process for assigned layouts from initial stages through final shipping.
    • Working with editors to adjust layouts to address text needs.
    • Working with production department to prepare InDesign documents for shipping.

    Requirements:

    • 3+ years experience designing magazines, books and/or other publications
    • Fluency in InDesign, K4, Photoshop, Illustrator and other Adobe design programs
    • Exclellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
