Spring Semester Design Intern

Looking for Part-time design intern for our small, dynamic magazine & book publishing company. This is not about getting coffee--you will design pages for major magazines from Newsweek, CBS, TV Guide, Men's Health, Disney and other clients. Candidate must have some level of proficiency in InDesign and Photoshop. Internship is unpaid in exchange for school credit.

Creative Director

Found exclusively on American Airlines' Pan-Latin flights, Nexos focuses on Latin celebrities, events, shopping, fashion, cuisine, real estate and lifestyle, all with a sleek, elegant design. It's vital that the candidate be fluent in English and Spanish. As well designing the bi-monthly magazine, there would additional work on sales collateral. Freelance art/photo assistant

SELF Magazine is seeking an energetic and motivated recent graduate or graphic design student for the position of freelance art assistant. Located in New York City. Core responsibilities include assisting the art department in updating presentation materials with most recent layouts, assisting in preparation for layout meetings, retouching and silhouetting images, acting as a liaison between the art department and photography department and providing administrative support to the department.

Interactive Graphics Editor

AFAR magazine Art/Design Internship (paid)

AFAR magazine is looking for an Intern to assist the Art department. Esquire Magazine Art Department Spring Intern

Esquire Magazine (Hearst Corporation) is seeking a junior or senior graphic design student for an internship in the Art Department for the spring of 2016. The intern will assist in the daily workflow of the magazine. Duties will include: updating layouts, minor imaging work, and some design. Candidates should have an interest in magazine publishing, strong working knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop and most importantly, be eager to learn. Design Director

Tenure-Track Faculty, Assistant or Associate Professor of Illustration

Massachusetts College of Art and Design is seeking an accomplished artist/educator to join our growing illustration program to fill a full-time tenure-track position beginning in the Fall of 2016 at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. Our curriculum emphasizes the practice of drawing and painting from observation, in order to acquire depth of understanding beyond surface, and advance the development of personal voice. Since illustrators work with a wide range of media, we are looking for a flexible artist with professional expertise in any of the following areas: drawing and painting, printmaking, experimental and 3D work, narrative work of all kinds, as well as a working knowledge of current practices in digital media. Responsibilities: In addition to teaching 12 credits (currently three 4 credit) courses per semester, the faculty member will be expected to participate in student advising, curriculum development, committee work, various departmental activities and student reviews. An ideal candidate will be qualified to teach a variety of courses within the major, serve as an enthusiastic mentor, assist students in preparation for post-graduate experience and potentially teach on the graduate level. We also seek someone who will broaden the department's professional presence beyond the college community and issues of diversity.
