The Atlantic, a brand with a 159-year heritage of outstanding writing and design, is seeking a Creative Director to oversee art direction across all its editorial platforms--including the magazine, the website, video, mobile apps, and live events.
Position in Brief
Reporting to the Editor in Chief, the Creative Director will be responsible for elevating The Atlantic's design while maintaining its core sensibility and spirit. He or she will conceive and execute superlative magazine covers, manage the art department staff, collaborate with editors and outside vendors such as photographers and illustrators, manage work schedules and budgets, and help set the strategic direction of The Atlantic.
