Image Director

As the Image Director, you will oversee our team of Image Specialists to ensure that SelfMade always delivers exceptional images. You will be key in developing our image designs and expressing the SelfMade brand. To get there, you will architect and oversee the image creation workflow, and will work with the tech and product teams on increasing speed and quality through optimizations and automations. This role is demanding, and requires an ambitious individual. You must be simultaneously dedicated to fostering a team of retouchers while passionate about creating images that others want to share. You must be patient yet critical, and you must be well versed in what makes an amazing photo or gif. You should care about making social media more expressive, more dynamic, and more beautiful. Responsibilities: Ensure that every SelfMade image is exceptional. Develop image standards and approval processes. Hire and manage Image Specialists. Ensure that post-production work is distinct from the creative work of developing templates, such as new gifs, filters or fonts, so as to maximize efficiency and foster creative thinking. Develop a culture of shared responsibility for constant improvement of the production process.

Image Specialist

The Job: The Image Specialist creates SelfMade images for members. You love the challenge of refining or reinventing an image. You live and breathe image editing tools and have deep Photoshop expertise. You're meticulous, versatile, and efficient. As an Image Specialist, you will be part of a small team continuously focused on improving a our design process and you must be able to embrace constant learning and constructive criticism. You should care about making social media more expressive, more dynamic, and more beautiful. Responsibilities: Retouch, color correct, improve, and apply templates to members' images. Work collaboratively. Handle a large workflow in a timely manner. Ensure high quality image output. Learn and adapt as new images designs are created, and new technology is introduced.
