Condé Nast Traveler seeks a motivated, Associate Art Director with print, marketing/ promotional and digital experience. Candidates should posses strong typographic expertise and sophisticated design sense, have a extensive pre-press knowledge and have specific experience in managing projects from conception to completion under tight deadlines. Candidate should be highly organized and detail-oriented.
Must have 5-6 years of print design experience; digital design experience is essential.
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite,
Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Dreamweaver, Flash, Keynote, After Effects, FinalCut pro and web development a plus. Past managerial experience is a must.
Responsibilities include:
- With Design Director, responsible for creating brand look and maintaining it through all materials, including logo development, sell sheets, in book pages, presentations, invitations, event signage and all other collateral.
- Work with Design Director to manage workflow in the department and maintain deadlines
- Provide design direction to 2-3 freelancers of the team as needed, and will undertake other art direction assignments at the request of the Design Director.
- Meet and ideate with merchandising/ marketing/sales team to develop new
ideas/programs/presentations for clients
- Assist projects and routing process to Design Director, Creative Services/ Marketing team
- Work with printers and production team to oversee production of printed and digital
materials and maintain quality control
- Evaluates quality of page proofs and work with production to correct as needed
- Develop quarterly brand decks and execute
- Work with illustrators, photographers, and stylists, as appropriate
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- Manage budgets as necessary
