Photo Intern

BuzzFeed News is looking for a photo intern to join us this summer! S/he should have a strong interest in current events, photography, photographers and how images can make or break a story. Successful candidates are creative, organized, a strong communicator, and like working in a fast-paced environment. Under the guidance of the Design Director and photo staff the intern will work on photo research, archiving projects, routing paperwork and occasionally shooting in-house. Interns are also expected to be part of brainstorms for shoots and photo essays, help maintain our social channels, assist more senior photo editors and provide general support to keep the art dept. running smoothly.

Summer 2017 Design Intern

BuzzFeed News is looking for a design intern to join us this summer! S/he should have a strong interest in editorial design, graphic design, typography, illustration, motion graphics, and news. Successful candidates are creative and resourceful visual thinkers, have a strong work ethic, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and like working in a fast-paced environment. Under the guidance of the Design Director and design staff the intern will coming up with and execute ideas for various stories for any of our news verticals. These can include charts, infographics, illustrations, gifs or motion pieces. Interns are also expected to be part of brainstorms, create art for our social channels, assist more senior designers, archiving, and provide general support to keep the art dept. running smoothly.
