The Deputy Art Director for Rollingstone.com is responsible for overseeing all design aspects of rollingstone.com, creating and delivering an innovative, user-friendly interface that is consistent with the sophisticated design of the print version of Rolling Stone. The site, which is expanding rapidly, is currently undergoing an extensive redesign, and the Online Deputy Art Director will play a central role in defining and reshaping the overall visual presentation. Must have extensive design experience, a dynamic vision of the current digital universe, and the ability to translate editorial concepts into exciting designs that reflect the Rolling Stone brand. The Deputy Art Director will be a team player with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, come up with alternative solutions on the fly, and take an idea and run with it. Deputy Art Director will also work on special print projects when necessary. The position will report directly to the Art Director of Rolling Stone magazine.
RESPONSIBILITES
* Maintains all brand guidelines and visual styles used on Rolling Stone and online marketing campaigns to ensure consistency in the brand's online presence under the direction of the magazine's Art
Director.
* Collaborates directly with the magazine's Art Director, as well as Rolling Stone editorial team to conceive and execute design projects on tight deadlines.
* Responsible for aligning creative concept with technical specifications.
* Design ongoing website updates (special features, new promotions, etc).
