Summer/Fall Graphic Design Intern

The art department at Surface Magazine seeks a graphic design intern for the late Summer and Fall semester, 2012. You will be working closely with the Assistant Art Director. This is an unpaid, part-time/full-time internship (receiving college credit is optional). Candidates must be available at least 2-3 days (part-time) or 5 days (full-time) a week (for a period of 3 months). Responsibilities will include: • Assisting with layout design for print and web. • Photography research. • Organizing and updating files and paperwork for each issue. • Communicating with contributors and photographers to prepare images for each issue. • Production: Cutting, printing, scanning and various other tasks (related to the above) that change on a day-to-day basis.
