Freelance Designer, Chicago Magazine

Chicago magazine is seeking a freelance designer to work in our editorial art department. This person will work closely with our design staff on print and digital editions of the magazine. Responsibilities will include designing front of book and special sections, assigning photos and illustrations, and generating graphics for print and digital versions. Experience with editorial print design and translating print work for an iPad edition are absolutely required. Three or more years of professional experience are preferred. Ideally this will be a full-time freelance position through the end of the year, but we are open to applicants with part-time availability as well. Candidates should be self-starters with great communication skills. This is a fast paced environment where you'll work with a small, dynamic staff. Our office is located in downtown Chicago. Must be able to work on-sight.
