New York magazine seeks a Designer to join its print art department. The designer will work primarily on The Strategist section, which focuses on food, home, shopping, and urban living. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, hard-working designer to work at an ASME award-winning magazine with some of the best creative and editorial minds in the business. The candidate will work closely with the art director and must be able to work in a highly collaborative environment, alongside other designers, photo editors, and editors under very tight deadlines. Time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines are essential. As part of the art team, the designer will work on other sections as well as other print or digital editorial projects as needed.

Art Assistant, New York Magazine

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, self-directed, team player, and capable of juggling day-to-day administrative tasks with work on current and future issues. New York Magazine Fall Photo Internship

PHOTOGRAPHY DEPARTMENT FALL INTERNSHIP New York Magazine is offering an unpaid internship in the photography department for school credit only. We are looking for someone organized, dedicated and excited to learn how a photo department at a weekly magazine operates. Interns should be very comfortable and effective communicating over the phone, in person, and via e-mail. Experience researching images with stock agencies a plus but not required. Photography, art communications majors or an interest in photography and editing preferred. Interns should have a strong work ethic, be able to work independently, as well as take directions and work as part of a team.
