Summary: Manifest seeks a highly creative and collaborative Associate Creative Director to join CBS Watch! magazine in our New York City office. This position requires superb design skills, an eye for typography, a flexible disposition and the ability to work creatively with editorial and photo teams. This role reports to the Group Creative Director. Responsibilities: • Laying out and assisting in the oversight of features, covers and department art plans with the Creative Director • Lead on all special sections • Collaboration. Able to work effectively with others • Can juggle multiple projects at once • Client facing communication • Comfortable art directing photo shoots Requirements: - At least 8 years as a member of a design team at a major consumer publication - Superior typography, layout, and design skills is a MUST - Ability to create clear mood boards that communicate conceptual and aesthetic direction of stories - Ability to understand the editorial mission of a story and present creative solutions to help the reader - Communication and experience working directly with clients (you must be flexible and able to collaborate effectively with editorial staff) - Meticulous attention to detail - Extremely creative and able to articulate vision
