Cosmopolitan Fall Design Intern

The Cosmopolitan design department is seeking an enthusiastic graphic design student for the fall semester. The ideal candidate must posses a strong interest in editorial design. You must be highly organized, efficient, and detail oriented. This is an intensive internship suitable only for someone who is a fast learner, eager, and has the ability to multitask. Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Providing administrative support, designing stories for the print issue, maintaining the art department walls, assisting the designers with preparing their pages, and performing all art department related duties as assigned. Women's Health Senior Designer

Women's Health Editorial department seeks a Senior Designer for their New York team. The Senior Designer is an essential position in the Women's Health design department. He/she must be highly creative, with strong conceptual and typographic skills, and must have an excellent eye for detail. Responsibilities include: Our Senior Designer plans and designs roughly 20 pages of the magazine each month. He/she will work closely with the Design Director, and constantly collaborate with the photo and editorial teams on the direction for all assigned stories in order to establish an aesthetic for the sections each month. This candidate will help produce and art direct photo shoots, commission illustrations, and mentor the junior design staff. This job requires the Senior Designer to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively, work under tight deadlines in an organized manner, and produce innovative ideas and designs with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Ideal Candidate: •3-5 years experience working at a design studio, advertising agency or publication is a must. •Must be creative and able to multi task various projects. •Must know how to use CS5 (InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator). •Should have good communication skills, keen attention to details, be organized and be able to work with other departments •Self-starter •Ability to meet deadlines

Seeking an energetic and enthusiastic full-time photo assistant to join the Women's Health photo department team. The position will provide overall support to the Photo Department and will report directly to the Director of Photography and Deputy Photo Editor. Responsibilities include: casting models for all photo shoots, helping with production of photo shoots, ordering hi-resolution images, photo research for monthly articles, supporting Women's Health digital platforms, and other administrative duties and day-to-day tasks.
