Temporary Graphic Designer

In-House mid-level designer reporting to the Creative Director executing the following tasks: * Primary responsibilities will be to design and manage projects of marketing materials for Teachers College and various departments from start to finish (logos, invitations, posters, brochures, evites, etc.). * Assist with laying out and designing for all publications (magazines and annual report). * Strong typography skills. * Good time management skills - must be organized, detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. * Proven skills and track record in graphic design, reflecting mastery of design programs and current technologies - InDesign, Creative Suite. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to present ideas, and participate in a team environment. * Ability to decipher information to create clear infographics that will be implemented in TC Today Magazine, the Annual Report, and any other marketing materials. * Able to contribute to the editorial process, and think about the big picture overall. * Must have attention to detail, and have the ability to start and complete all projects from initial design to production and prepress (responsible for color correcting/silos, etc). The ideal candidate will display a strong portfolio of marketing/branding, and publication design. Should be able to thrive in a fast-paced and highly creative environment. Takes direction well, and is a self starter.
