Assistant Art Director

This is an entry-level contract and 4 month paid design position for those looking to get experience and a foot in the door. The Assistant Art Director will report to the Art Director and Executive Editor and be primarily responsible for the creation, construction, and digital adaptation of the advertorial content for four product guides--buyer's guide, apparel guide, resort/heli guide, and holiday gift guide. During the development of the advertorial catalog pages, they will be expected to maintain consistent contact with the respective editors appropriate for that content to ensure that all the brands/resorts are meeting the project guidelines of the catalog pages. In addition, they will supply the sales team with updated PDF proofs of the advertorial pages for the clients to review and approve after no more than three separate revisions. They may also be asked to help out with various random projects as they arise during the production season, as well as gaining insight into the overall design process of putting together a magazine.
