Los Angeles Magazine Art/Design intern

Video Researcher (Freelance)

The Video Researcher will play a key role as a dedicated resource for finding and maintaining video/film. This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for photography/film and excellent organization skills. Associate Art Director

Expertise in infographics would be ideal. You will be working closely with creative director and editors to see pages through from idea to completion.

Art Director, UCLA

The Art Director leads the in-house design team responsible for the design and production of the quarterly UCLA Magazine, as well as design projects and marketing campaigns for clients on campus. Projects include invitations and brochures, newspaper and magazine ads, admissions packets, signs and banners, and other marketing materials. While the emphasis is on print, some campaigns include a web or email component. On the magazine, the Art Director will work with the Design Director and Senior Designer to conceptualize and commission photography and illustration, design stories, and oversee the entire pre-press and proofing process. Successful candidates should have at least five years experience with the day-to-day workflow of magazines and significant hands-on experience with art directing photo shoots and illustration assignments. Also requires a sophisticated mastery of typography and graphic design techniques, primarily using Adobe Creative Suite on the Macintosh platform, to create and supervise the creation of effective materials.
