Under the direction of the Design Director, this position conceptualizes, art directs and designs the assigned pages for each magazine issue. The Deputy AD works seamlessly with editors and stylists and photographers to create content that is within the visual direction of the magazine to make choices that maintain the creative vision, brand, and standard of quality. Associate Art Director

In addition, she/he should have an eye for details and the ability to think creatively. Editorial design is different than many other types of graphic design -- the person who fills this position will know the differences and embrace them.
