Interview Follow-up: "I'm Taking Andy With Me"

In a rare-for-these-days bit of detail, Glenn O'Brien talked with Fashion Week Daily about his departure, along with Creative Directors M/M (Paris), from Interview on Monday and Fabien Baron's return to the mag as sole Editorial Director. Kind of a don't-miss piece if you haven't read it already... seems a bit like a 70s-throwback kind of big personality event, a little  à la Mailer-Vidal on the Dick Cavett show. Or, we're just looking to stir things up -- but Mr. O'Brien himself says, "It's like a Greek tragedy. Like watching a company going insane, instead of a person."

Will be good to see what is about to happen there...

Interview: Changing Things For Themselves

Perhaps the goal at Interview is to live up to the Warhol quote, "They always say that time changes things, but you have to change them yourself" -- WWD carries the story this morning about yet another shake-up (tweak? reinvention? refresh? We have no idea what euphemism they're trending toward these days) on the masthead: Fabien Baron is back after his six-months away, this time as sole Editorial Director (Glenn O'Brien given the goodbye on Monday), and rumors have it that former Creative Director Karl Templar will be returning as well. Two-months-new Art Director Stella Bugbee, formerly the DD at now-shuttered Domino, is said to have resigned.
