From the Student Competition Archives: Competition #9 - 2007 Winners
As we celebrate SPD's 50th Anniversary, we're going back in time to showcase all the past Student Competition winners. (And don't forget to enter THIS year's competition. Details here.)
Back in the beginning, the competition was more like the professional competition in that it honored the best work being done by students from the past year (as opposed to now where you create entries specifically for our competition). But with the 6th competition in 2000, we started giving an assignment. After the 7th competition, it went on hiatus for a while and then was revived again for the 2006 competition year.
Last week we showcased the top winners from that 2006 competition. And today we're highlighting all the winners from 2007. This 9th Student Competition was published in Pub 42...

The top prize in 2007 was the Adobe Scholarship in Honor of B.W. Honeycutt for $2,500. The second-place prize was $1,000, and third place won $500 as well as copies of the Adobe Creative Suite Software.This
was the first year the prizes also included summer internships at top
magazines. This year, the top 4 winners received summer internships at
Fortune, Departures, Marie Claire and Men's Health.
