From the Student Competition Archives: Competition #8 - 2006 Winners
As we celebrate SPD's 50th Anniversary, we're going back in time to showcase all the past Student Competition winners.
Back in the beginning, the competition was more like the professional competition in that it honored the best work being done by students from the past year (as opposed to now where you create entries specifically for our competition ... look for this year's rules to be announced soon!). But with the 6th competition in 2000, we started giving an assignment. After the 7th competition, it went on hiatus for a while and then was revived again for the 2006 competition year.
Last week we showcased the top winners from the 2002 competition. And today we're highlighting all the winners from the revived competition of 2006. This 8th Student Competition was published in Pub 41...

Again, this year's competition gave students an assignment to complete, like we do now. The top prize this year was the Adobe Scholarship in Honor of B.W. Honeycutt with a $2,500 cash prize. Second place won a $1,000 cash prize and 3rd place won a $500 cash prize. All 3 winners also received copies of Adobe's Creative Suite Software.
