There's still time to register for the Bob Newman Online Benefit Art Auction and Party!

The Friends of Bob Newman community are happy to announce the launch of the Friends of Bob Newman Online Benefit Art Auction. There's an auction Tumblr page where you can preview all the brilliant artwork by over 60 of the finest illustrators and photographers working today. Then go to the auction site and bid for some of this beautiful artwork. In addition, on Thursday, May 29, at 6.30pm, the Society of Illustrators is hosting a benefit party and celebration.

Admission is free, but RSVP BY THIS THURSDAY at FriendsOfBobPartyRSVP@gmail.com

All proceeds of the auction will go to benefit Bob Newman and his family to help defray the costs of Bob's ongoing (and past) medical bills as he continues his recovery. The online auction features a stellar collection of talented artists, including Henrik Drescher, Jorge Colombo, Anita Kunz, Philip Burke, Drew Friedman, Lara Tomlin, Stephen Kroninger, Mark Ulriksen, Hanoch Piven, Yuko Shimizu, Victor Juhasz, Fred Woodward, and many more.

We're very excited about the auction and its fundraising potential, and hope you will visit and bid, as well as share the news with your friends and community. It's a truly amazing collection of artwork. Your bids, as well as sharing the news on Facebook, Twitter, your blogs and websites, etc., will help in this great effort.

In addition, on Thursday, May 29, at 6.30pm, the Society of Illustrators (located at 128 E. 63rd St.) is throwing a benefit party and celebration.

RSVP BY THIS THURSDAY at FriendsOfBobPartyRSVP@gmail.com.

Admission is free, with a cash bar, and there will be a small plate buffet, raffles, door prizes, copies of My Favo(u)rite Magazine and Eight by Eight, and much more. This will be a great gathering of Bob's many friends and associates, as well as the larger community of Friends of Bob Newman. Everyone is invited to this very special event, and it will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Bob's long walk on the road to recovery and also acknowledge the great support that his friends and extended community have given.
