Associate Art Director--Seattle

  • Job Description:
    Seattle Met magazine has an immediate opening for Associate Art Director. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of design experience at a consumer magazine, a strong design sensibility suitable for Seattle Met, and a proven track record working as a team player. This person must have creative vision, the ability to generate original concepts, a high level of design sophistication, a keen eye for photography, and exceptional typography skills.The ability to create images using infographics or typography is a must. Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator and the ability to multitask and work with deadlines is critical. Web skills, including design, video, and interactive media are a huge plus. This person is responsible for designing editorial layouts for narrative and service features, and regularly appearing departments, assigning photography and illustrations; and color proofing photos.
