ASSISTANT VISUAL DESIGNER, CONSUMER RESEARCH

Vital Findings seeks a recent design school graduate with a multi-disciplinary background to join our Visual Design Team as an Assistant Visual Designer. Associate Art Director

St. Louis Magazine is seeking a full-time editorial and senior level graphic designer. Reporting to the Art Director, the Associate Art Director will be responsible for designing the front of book, some departments and features for the print edition. She/he will assist in the creation of web graphics, advertorial design, circulation materials, promotional/marketing materials and ad design.  The Associate Art Director must be able to brainstorm creative design solutions to a wide mix of stories and be able to manage multiple projects at once. The position requires collaborating with photographers, illustrators and the magazine's editorial staff. Editorial design experience and experience art directing photo shoots is preferred. JOB DUTIES: • Design of editorial sections and some editorial feature stories • Design of materials for circulation, web, marketing and advertising departments • Conceptualizing and assigning illustration and photography • Stock photo research and art requests • Assist the Art Director on photo-shoots and with propping/styling • Post service features to the CMS (edit HTML to make this appear nicely on the site; sometimes create landing pages) • Make images for the rotating fader on the homepage (several a week) • Find/create art for online-only articles, blog posts and contests

Creative Director, CSP Business Media

The Creative Director of CSP Business Media will be responsible for differentiating all of the company's publications through extraordinary page designs, artwork and graphic storytelling, working with a centralized team of artists and designers. The newly created position is both managerial and hands-on. The Creative Director will also work with the digital media team on the design of such products as e-newsletters, microsites, webpages and e-blasts. QUALIFICATIONS • A Bachelor's or higher degree in fine arts, graphic design or a related field. • 5-10 years of experience producing page layouts for a high-gloss magazine. Experience in consumer magazines is a plus, and experience in consumer food magazines is valued even higher. • At least 5 years of managing a staff. • Willingness to travel on occasion. GQ Production department
