Seeking a kick-ass creative design student looking to get their foot in the door at a growing custom publishing company. As a design intern you'll work directly with our creative director and help our small but energetic staff create an entirely new magazine every week. We're a fast-paced office and our design team works at a rapid pace, so those without an expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite will likely be a little out of their depth. We expect you to bring a designer's eye, an editor's brain, and an artist's soul to every project we'll task you with working on, which might be anything from turning copy into a gorgeous layout or working hand in hand with our Creative Director to create a template for a future publication. Every day is different. Will their be the occasional day where you silo 30 images? Sure. But those days will be full of great music, terrible jokes, and a ton of hands-on experience in the publishing industry. We're staffed by veterans from the magazine industry who have worked at titles such as Rolling Stone, FHM, Men's Health, People, Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly and Jane, and we create magazines for brands such as Newsweek, Reader's Digest, CBS, and TV Guide. As an intern you'll have the opportunity to both work with and learn from pros on the forefront of the ever-changing publishing world. The internship is unpaid and MUST be used for college credit. We also offer opportunities for advancement within our office as well as valuable connections to others in the business and publishing industries. Interested applicants should reply with a resume, a link to your portfolio, and a short cover letter explaining why we can't live without you.Editorial Design Intern -- Cosmopolitan
