Job Overview: Atlanta magazine is currently seeking a skilled, hard-working, self-motivated individual to handle multiple graphic design projects in the magazine's custom media division (AMCM). Design Intern - Women's Health

Women's Health magazine is currently looking for an enthusiastic design intern for the Summer 2017 semester. This would be a PAID internship lasting 11 weeks from June 5th to August 18th. A commitment of 30 hours a week is required. Duties include assisting the art department with daily tasks, designing layouts for front-of-book and back-of-book sections, and maintaining and updating the art wall room. Must be proficient in InDesign.

Creative Director - Rachael Ray Every Day

The Creative Director will be the creative visionary and keeper for the overall image, look, aesthetics, styling and visual identity of the brand. In addition to overseeing all graphic design, photography and illustration, the Creative Director's role will be to push his or her team to elevate the brand look so that it is top-of-the-industry quality with modern design, fresh styling and innovative new photography and approaches that appeal to today's consumers and marketers. Working closely with the Editor-in-Chief, the Creative Director will oversee the art staff as well as facilitate overall teambuilding and cooperation and collaboration among both the visual and editorial teams. He or she will work with the EIC to develop a well-thought-out process that produces consistent results. Other responsibilities will include: managing art budgets, initiating necessary redesigns and setting a consistent and exciting creative direction for new departments, franchises and brand extensions, including social media, digital and more. Creative Director must also work with Rachael Ray and her teams, establishing a relationship of trust between camps and infusing the pages of RRED with Rachael Ray's vision and voice. Essential Job Functions 25% Be the creative visionary and keeper for the visual identity and aesthetics of the brand. Inspire and push art team to continuously innovate and elevate the brand look to top-of the-industry levels of styling, photography, illustration, and design. Work with the Editor-in-Chief to meet the needs of consumers visually (supporting the editorial needs), while simultaneously raising the overall aesthetic environment for advertisers. Approve all art assignments, layouts, and corrections with a detailed eye. Maintain the style guide, but also initiate visual change and innovation. 20% Oversee the art budget, design staff, photography staff, production staff, and division of assignments. Work with the EIC to develop a well-thought-out staffing plan. Develop a system for planning ahead, avoiding visual overlap, saving potential images for future use. Be the chief communicator internally and with external departments for visual priorities; ensure clear consistent communication and goals within department. 20% Work on set and establish relationships with outside photographers and stylists. 15% Oversee the cover process including planning, testing, pacing, styling, bold photography and polished design. 10% Manage celebrity brand and all the relationships involved. 10% Oversee and set consistent and innovative direction for all brand extensions including SIPs, digital, licensing, brand presentations, new icons, redesigns, and more.

Managing Editor

The Managing Editor is responsible for coordinating the editorial production of print and digital storytelling produced in partnership with a global luxury lifestyle brand. Also responsible for ideating, assigning, writing and editing some articles for a quarterly print magazine and digital programs. Monitors creative schedules, budgets and output, and manages copy and art flow to ensure staff has met all deadlines. We want right-brain as well as left-brain contributions: organized, objective-driven creativity. Principal Accountabilities: *Create and maintain status systems for tracking and sharing editorial progress *Lead weekly creative status meetings *Write and edit print and digital copy, and assist with CMS entry *Guide special custom projects, working directly with client contacts *Update and manage budgets for editorial production *Work with production department to create production schedules This position will be based in our Greensboro, NC office.

Copywriter / Editor

Pace is looking for a talented Copywriter/Editor to join the team! The Copywriter/Editor holds responsibility for crafting a variety of consumer-centric custom content assets (articles, infographics, video scripts, etc.) for a host of marketing-driven campaigns. Principal Accountabilities *Fulfill copywriting needs across a variety of channels and mediums, including but not limited to online magazine, online e-commerce, email, video, direct mail, print and social media. *Adopt and maintain brand voice, tone and style consistency across platforms and channels to ensure alignment with client's brand standards. *Contribute to the content development process on various digital platforms through ideation, research, planning, writing, copy editing, and fact checking. *Contribute to the optimization of all content through keyword research and on-page optimization. *Collaborate with writers, designers, photo editors and developers to create multimedia content on a daily. Will also interface with account and project management teams on a daily basis. *Contribute to internal and client presentations for creative output.

Editorial Designer

Foreign Policy is looking for a versatile designer to join our editorial team and work on our digital platforms and bi-monthly print magazine. This position is based in our Washington, D.C., office.   The ideal candidate has experience working with editors and writers to design and execute editorial experiences that are as compelling and accessible as they are beautiful and content-enhancing. In an average week, you can juggle creating photo illustrations for opinion articles; communicating with and editing photographers and artists around the world; designing mobile-first digital presentations and collaborating with developers to build them; and helping with photo research for the website or department layout for the print magazine.   You should be obsessed with details, up on current news and magazine design trends, an efficient and professional communicator, and able to manage your time effectively. You don't need to be an international relations nerd or have prior experience working at politics or foreign policy publications, but it helps to be a bit of a news junkie and willing to put in the effort to really understand and best tell stories from all over the globe.
