Art Assistant

Lauren Publications has an immediate entry-level opening for an Art Assistant in their New York City office. Under the direction of the Creative Director, the Art Assistant will: * Schedule photo shoots and procure provided images from subjects * Contact and coordinate models and stylists for shoots * Assist with maintaining budgets * Process invoices * Resize print images for online and social media platforms * Email PDFs to profile subjects * Assist in designing collateral and promotional materials * Upload content to our website (monthly) * Editorial newsletter layouts (weekly) Hours are flexible, but consistency needed. Sr Designer, Condé Nast

The Innovation Collection at Condé Nast is looking for a senior designer to join our team on the advertising/marketing side (NOT editorial). The Innovation Collection includes GQ, WIRED, Golf, Pitchfork, Ars Technica, and Backchannel. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience in the professional world. Projects include designing marketing, branding, and experiential event collateral, as well as digital, tablet, and in book units. The designer should be able to take ideas from concept to execution, be comfortable with production (print and digital), and collaborate well with a team. This position is in an extremely fast-paced environment where prioritization, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Motion Graphics Designer, Cosmopolitan Snapchat

Cosmopolitan.com is looking for a lightening fast Motion Graphics Designer to help enrich the visual identity of its channel on Snapchat Discover. This position will report to the Managing Editor of Snapchat Discover, and will work closely with a team of designers and editors to create short-form visual animated graphics that further the storytelling of Cosmopolitan.com's content and elevate the brand aesthetic. The designer will be responsible for working within the site's branding guidelines to ensure all content is consistent, but they will also be expected to bring platform appropriate creativity and personality to each edition. Candidates should have a portfolio that showcases their talents as a motion designer with an excellent skill eye for good design and typography in the social media landscape. The Sr Photo Director oversees the commissioning, production, and invoicing of all photography for all sections of Rachael Ray Every Day magazine. This position collaborates with the EIC and Creative Director on the visual voice of the magazines. In addition, the Sr Photo Director * Cultivates new photographers. * Supervises photo department staff. * Concepts story ideas and collaborates with art department * Manages photo shoot estimates, issue budgets and production deadlines. * Oversees and negotiates photo contracts with photographers, their agents and agencies. * Serve as Photo Director on set. Senior Designer, MAKERS

MAKERS is looking for a senior graphic designer to oversee all design aspects for the MAKERS brand. S/he will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing digital creative work across channels including MAKERS.com, digital campaigns, mobile, social and email. S/he will also collaborate with content and marketing stakeholders to deliver a best-in-class, consistent brand experience across channels and touchpoints. The senior graphic designer will manage an associate designer, providing clear direction, constructive feedback and prioritizing workload to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard. With support from the associate designer, they will deliver all digital and print assets for the annual MAKERS Conference and MAKERS@ programming including event collateral, invitations, agendas, recaps, mailers and social assets. Responsibilities include: • Translate business goals into actionable design directives and effectively communicate creative rationale (orally and visually) to key stakeholders. • Initiate MAKERS email campaigns, and develop/optimize templates. • Develop wireframes and design templates for MAKERS.com, MAKERS Conference App and MAKERS Stories App. • Drive creative brainstorming, concept development and design execution • Manage external creative agencies and effectively collaborate with internal OATH creative stakeholders. • Remain on the cutting edge of emerging tech, trends, tools and apps.

Senior Art Director/Designer

Campbell Ewald is looking for a Senior Art Director/Designer to join their long-form Content Development team. We are looking for multitalented candidates (with a background in art direction and editorial design) that have at least 7 years of experience in publishing or long-form content marketing -- print, video, web, social, mobile and tablets. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about the story being told...in both the print and digital space, and always looking for ways to connect offline-to-online, and vice versa. A client doesn't always know the best way to solve a problem. So we need people who understand how to translate the business problem into strong visual stories told with words, photos, and interactive means.
