Wide Format Production Manager

Work in a very "hands - on and customer focused" environment with artists and photographers providing fine art reproduction and related services. Excellent customer service is a basic requirement from an ideal candidate. Supervise and participate within a small team and monitor multiple projects through completion. Coordinate staff schedules and material / supply requirements. Maintain quality-control standards and advance company goals, working closely with owners / operators as integral part of management team. Assist team in prepping final files, approving and proofing projects, organizing final work flow, coordinating delivery of projects, and assisting in the overall work load for the imaging team.

The Naples Daily News seeks a competent, detail oriented and creative designer to fill the role of Senior Newspaper Producer. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, be imaginative and a capable designer with strong communication skills. The Senior Newspaper Producer is a hands-on positions, overseeing the front line production and design of three weekly newspapers and one monthly magazine under the supervision of the Naples Daily News Art Director. This position will also manage workflow in cooperation with publication editors in order to meet weekly and monthly deadlines. Art Director / Department Manager

Ability to work well under deadline pressure. This means managing the potential heavy workflow of the art & production department on a daily basis to ensure quality, accurate and timely output. Acts as chief ad designer. Able to balance quality with speed and volume of work. Mature, level-headed, quality design skills, strong people skills Excellent computer skills specifically as it relates to ad building and design software such as Quark, InDesign CS5, and Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat It is also expected there is a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and has some knowledge of the pagination process. An eye for design along with superior written, verbal and communication skills are necessary for professional communications with staff, vendors and customers. The Art Director is also the key digital ad & graphics builder with knowledge of flash, CS5.5 and related software components for online ad builds and graphics. Works with the company's web producer to provide needed graphic components for websites. Bachelor's degree preferred plus at least 3 years management experience in an art/production department of print and online media including newspapers, magazines, directories etc.

Web/Print Designer

Animoto is looking for a jaw-droppingly awesome designer to join our marketing team and lead the design efforts on everything from promotional online web pages to print advertising campaigns. We're well-funded (VC round in June 2009) but we're still small, so it's a great time to come on board as we grow like crazy in 2011. You'll be our first full-time designer on our fast-growing marketing team. Your plate will be full. You'll help shape the design direction of our various marketing efforts and ensure that everything produced is both pixel-perfect and cohesively represents the Animoto brand. In addition, you'll working on various website pages that will be seen by millions of people each month. You'll have to internalize our brand, then contribute to the critical decisions that decide where it goes. But here's the catch: we need the best. We've won every sort of award, from the Webbys to SXSW to the Crunchies (Best Design this year!), and we've been covered by all sorts of media, NY Times and USA Today and TechCrunch among others. Your work will uphold our reputation while pushing Animoto's design forward into the coming decade. This is a full-time position at our headquarters in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, NYC.
