Outside Magazine, the nation's leading active lifestyle magazine based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is seeking an Assistant Photo Editor for our 2 person photo department. The ideal candidate should have a background in photography or art history.
Responsibilities include;
-Sourcing stock images for departments and features
-Tracking and coding invoices for stock, illustrations & photo shoots
-Completing monthly budget reports for FOB
-Assisting with production for FOB and some feature shoots
-Entering credits into layouts
-Providing image captions to editors
-Tracking licensing rights associated with stock imagery
-Providing clerical and production assistance to Photo Editor
-Occasionally assisting web department with photo inquiries
-Sourcing photos for special iPad issues 2-3 times per year
-Material returns
Seeking applicants who have the following experience:
-Knowledge and experience with major stock libraries
-Broad knowledge of photographers and photographer agencies across many disciplines
-Experience with Adobe CS5, K4
-Ability to research and work independently in a fast past environment
-Capable of managing time and able to prioritize responsibilities
-Strong negotiation skills
-Energetic and able to meet deadlines
