Architectural Digest is seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking, and extremely organized Photo Editor. Candidates should have a passionate interest in design and/or architecture, as well as art, travel, and culture. This position reports directly to the Art Director, and works closely with all editorial departments. The Photo Editor plays an integral role in the editorial process by working directly with editors and the art department to visualize stories, commission photo shoots, and oversee photo research. A thorough understanding of the tone and voice of the AD brand is essential. Other critical skills include strong communication skills, a sense of humor, and an ability to solve problems while staying calm and in control under pressure. This person will also, on occasion, consult with the web photo editor, regarding appropriate visual solutions for online features. 

Senior Art Director

Overview/Purpose WIRED magazine is currently seeking an enthusiastic Senior Art Director to join the Creative team. The Senior Art Director will handle a minimum of one well feature per issue and supervise the front-of-book, from initial concepts to photo and design. Primary Responsibilities Supervise the complex WIRED front-of-book and at least one well feature per issue Oversee several designers Successfully translate the ideas of FOB editors Track spending on illustrations and info-graphics Collaborate with editors and photo department to evolve visual direction of the magazine Desired Skills and Qualifications BA / BFA in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or Design Five to seven years' relevant work experience (at least 3 years at a magazine) An in-depth knowledge of Adobe CS5 (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Experience managing a team Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, as well as the ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm attitude Extremely organized Familiarity and interest in the WIRED brand

We are looking for a candidate with good digital experience that will be able to pitch and produce special projects. We are requiring advanced skills, from concept to execution, that will allow the junior designers to focus on their day-to-day design tasks.
