The New York Observer is currently seeking a photo intern, available between 3 and 5 days a week for the Fall 2013 semester. This internship will be a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newspaper environment. The intern will work closely with the Photo Editor, Creative Director and production department and job duties will include but are not limited to: location shoots (portrait experience a plus), photo research and acquisition, retouching, organization and preparation of photos for publication. The ideal candidate will have a background in photography, strong organizational skills, familiarity with Mac operating systems, Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, Microsoft Word. A great opportunity for a young photographer to get his/her work published and seen by a large readership. Credit is available.
