We are looking for the next creative, like-minded individual to join our staff--that's where you come in.   We are seeking a talented graphic designer to join our design team. This designer will develop holistic brand experiences across multiple platforms as assigned by the senior designer. The designer will work independently as well as collaboratively with the senior designer, fellow designers, and photo and editorial teams.   This position will start as soon as possible in the River West neighborhood of Chicago. The work environment is energetic yet comfortable with a strong team-oriented vibe.   Responsibilities ¥ Effectively and efficiently designs all media--magazines, media kits, e-newsletters, websites, event collateral, reprints, marketing materials, special projects--according to the direction of the senior designer ¥ Collaborates with a team of editors, photographers and designers on the creation of assigned media ¥ Meet all publication and production deadlines Requirements ¥ B.A. in Graphic Design, including recent graduates ¥ Design experience, preferably in an editorial environment ¥ Strong communication and organizational skills ¥ Ability to excel at working both independently and in a collaborative team environment ¥ Capability to multi-task ¥ Excellent time management ¥ Proficiency with InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator (Adobe CC) ¥ Experience with Adobe Digital Publishing Suite  Experience with WordPress and HTML/CSS is a plus

We are seeking a talented graphic designer to serve as the team's visual driver in the creation of all media for the magazine, ensuring each project is published on time and aligns with brand standards. The designer will take ownership of the publication to continuously advance its visual identity and brand. The position will start as soon as possible in the River West neighborhood of Chicago. The work environment is energetic yet comfortable with a collaborative, team-oriented vibe. Responsibilities: Work alongside team of editors and photo editors to create one of our seven magazine titles Design of media kits, e-newsletters, website, collateral materials, reprints, and marketing materials Requirements: Bachelor's degree in graphic design Design experience, preferably in an editorial environment Strong communication and organizational skills Able to excel at working independently and in a collaborative environment Able to multitask Excellent time management Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator (Adobe CC) Experience with WordPress and HTML/CSS preferred Benefits: This is a full-time position, and we offer competitive compensation. We're looking for a design director to build on and continue our award-winning print magazine legacy and lead our team of designers as we embark on our digital evolution. This individual will lead a team of seven designers to continue to push the quality and effectiveness of our products, from executive magazines to niche events.  The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in design, and will be motivated to impart their experience to other designers to help them grow and develop. S/he will work to make Guerrero Howe a talent hotspot for the design community of Chicago, a renowned employer for furthering design careers. In addition, s/he will always tie our design team's work to our business objectives, creating a team of designers who aren't just great experts in design, but are business savvy, as well.
