Harvard Business Review Group is looking for a Designer to join our team - a crucial engine for design at HBR as we transform from a predominantly print publishing group to a multi-platform Publisher embracing opportunities across media. This role is perfect for a talented, energetic designer with a demonstrated ability to produce excellent ideas, typography and layouts. A Designer works under the direction of the Senior Designer and Design Leaders to execute and deliver high-quality design work on deadline. While mainly working on executing design concepts and developing options for HBR designs, they will also work on a broad range of print and digital design projects across our platforms, including web-design, interactive designs, book jacket design, and design for new products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Contributing to Design team by enthusiastically engaging in discussion of work and suggesting ideas.
• Producing concept options for presentation.
• Designing layouts for HBR Magazine to finished-art stage.
• Developing briefs, commissioning and managing the quality of illustration and photography for HBR.
• Working with Indd files to convert to interactive folios for Ipad.
• Designing Infographics.
• Taking on web-design and digital design projects.
• Working on other design projects within HBRG.
