Art Director

MANIFEST, one of the top-ranked independent U.S. Content Marketing agencies, has an exciting opportunity for a creative, experienced and highly motivated Art Director to join our NYC studio design team. We're looking for a team member who is motivated to elevate our editorial design by conceptualizing new and innovative ways to thrill the core audiences of some of the country's largest and most popular brands. The ideal candidate for this full-time position will be passionate about editorial design, demonstrate strong typography skills, and have experience in photo direction. The Art Director is responsible for all visual aspects of assigned magazine title(s), newsletters, and other ancillary projects, in adherence with production schedules and processes. Titles may be established, in redesign or ground-up projects. In collaboration with the editors and account team members, insure client satisfaction and realization of marketing goals through proactive client communications and counseling, strategic planning, and the creation of top-quality marketing communications. Will interface with clients one-on-one, providing creative and strategic guidance. Also responsible for the support other projects as needed. Titles may include: Single Sponsor publications, Ad-based publications, Custom-Plus client pages, Custom-Plus (as well as some prototype execution). Experience: Minimum 5 years graphic design including 3 years publication-specific experience. Technical Skills: Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Power Point, Excel Skills Sets: Publication Design, Art Direction, Project Management (including workflow, schedule and budget), Basic Marketing, Customer Service, Communications (both verbal and presentation); Understanding of Web and Mobile design best practices a plus.
