COOKING LIGHT is part of Time Inc. and is the largest epicurean magazine in the US. We are looking for a DESIGNER for the BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA office who would be working for the new Creative Director in NYC and with the Art Director in Alabama. A minimum of 3 years magazine editorial design experience is required. This individual should be interested in food, nutrition and human interest stories. The perfect candidate has a strong sense of classic typography and knows a beautiful, stylish and delicious food photograph when they see one. This designer would be helping us refine the recent redesign and push the magazines visuals to new heights. They would also be creating dynamic and fresh layouts for the front and back of book, assigning illustration, and art directing some photoshoots. We need a very responsible person and who would pay serious attention to detail. Expert knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and illustrator is required.
