Graphic Design Internship - Flaunt Magazine

Flaunt's art department is looking for a self-motivated, passionate design intern to start immediately. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) supporting the art department in the following areas: Optimizing files for web content on Flaunt.com, photo editing for Flaunt.com, curating content for social media outlets including Tumblr and Instagram, event preparation, research, pitching ideas for design strategies and creative concepts, proofing final copies of layouts for print, designing invitations, event materials, newsletters, mockups for advertising clients, and other in-house materials as needed. Exceptionally gifted interns who demonstrate a strong work ethic and a good grasp of Flaunt's visual language will have the opportunity to design magazine content. Ideal candidate should: Have an academic focus in graphic design, be proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and have experience with WordPress and CSS, have exceptional typography skills and a fundamental understanding of graphic design (as well as a love for Flaunt's content,) be highly motivated, eager to learn as well as contribute, have sharp attention to detail, and be capable of working well in a fast-paced and environment.

Design Intern

FLAUNT Magazine is seeking a graphic design student for a non-paid, college-credit internship in its Los Angeles-based Art Department. The intern will assist in the daily workflow of the magazine. Duties will include: updating layouts, maintaining pagination wall, minor imaging work, and some design. Candidates should have a strong interest in magazine publishing, good working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. A commitment of 2 days a week is required, from 9 am to 6 pm (flexible).
