XO Group Inc. seeks a Designer to create compelling XO-branded content (The Knot, The Nest or The Bump) which helps serve brands' business objectives. The ideal candidate will be an extremely organized, detail-obsessed self-starter with a passion for developing great products. Must have the ability to juggle multiple projects and staying calm and collected under pressure must be part of your DNA. You thrive on being part of a collaborative team and will never say the words "It's not my job"! RESPONSIBILITIES - Design and production of special advertising sections, custom publishing and other custom content - Work closely with national sales team in developing and selling process Execute on a wide variety of creative solutions, including tablet publishing - Develop best practices; set and maintain quality - Collaborate closely with editor on product vision - Attend client meetings and communicate with clients as needed REQUIREMENTS - 5+ years in graphic design, preferably for a print or digital publication - Excellent design, typography and photo editing skills - Experience on photo shoots - Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and - Digital Publishing - Understanding of branded content - Strong social media presence and knowledge - Ability to lead and engage conversations with external clients as well as internal teams - Solid background in emerging publishing technologies
