Video Producer/Editor (Perm)

Major League Soccer is seeking a Senior Producer/Editor to create content for the league's official website, syndication partners and the League Office while managing a team of content producers and helping to develop talent within the team. DESCRIPTION The Senior Producer/Editor's responsibility is to manage and develop a team of video content producers, while also producing innovative and dynamic content themselves. The position calls for a well-organized person who has leadership qualities and works well with others. He or she has a thorough knowledge and understanding of different lighting, shooting and editing techniques and is willing and able to work with less advanced editors to develop their skills. They must be able to work remotely or in studio and on their own or by leading a team or shooters/editors. The ideal candidate works well with Mac computers, excels in final cut editing, and is proficient in Motion, Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator. They are capable of lighting, staging, and shooting (with audio) on their own, but able to work in a team environment as well. They must be capable of working under tight deadlines and willing to work off hours. RESPONSIBILITIES + Ideate, develop and create feature content for website, syndication partners, and sponsors + Work with video team to help advance their skills and techniques of shooting and editing + Research and report on technologies and equipment that will help create more dynamic content + Cover games on location, shooting match footage, interviews and other content around the match experience + Work with internal departments (MLS WORKS, Communications, etc) to cover and promote events + Work with editorial team to coordinate video features to supplement written content on the site + Maintain and organize footage library on SAN and video equipment in office + Manage special events for video department coordinating between League Office and members of the team to ensure proper coverage and organization during events

DIGITAL DESIGNER (perm)

The Digital Designer is responsible for conceptualization and design of solutions from concept to completion. Candidate should have strong management skills and understanding of layout, typography and color theory, especially applied to web, and digital media. Position requires internal and external client presentations and constant interaction with other functional departments (e.g. Marketing, Communications and Community Relations). Essential Functions: 1. Design and production of web-specific graphics (e.g. static and animated banners, ads, social media and web page skins). Working closely with MLSsoccer.com staff. 2. Design and production of final mechanicals for Creative Services requests (e.g. logos, collateral print materials, advertising, web banners, multimedia, etc.) 3. Provide support to Creative Services department, especially in art direction, production, file preparation and other pre-production tasks as well as trafficking final files.

DRUPAL DEVELOPER (perm)

Major League Soccer's Digital team is looking for a great Senior Drupal developer to help us shape the next generation digital experience for soccer fans around the world. We need someone with the ability to take a lead role on architecting and implementing large Drupal builds to power the next generation of our digital publishing platform. UX DESIGNER (Perm)

MLS Digital is looking for an experienced UX designer to join our development team. We are responsible for creating and operating twenty separate web properties (MLSSoccer.com and nineteen club sites), a real-time second screen match experience, a growing set of APIs, and the infrastructure that powers it all. Our mission is to make MLSsoccer.com and our club properties the best digital sports experience in the world. We are a small, but growing team, made up mostly of developers. With new products launching later this year, we have started to place a greater focus on the quality of the experiences we create. As our first full-time designer, you will have a major impact on the success of our products and will set the design direction of the team. Some of the work you will get to dig into immediately: Define MLSSoccer.com's design language for use across all of our web, mobile web, and mobile app interfaces Help us realize our goal of making Golazo (our new match experience) the best second screen experience in sports by creating unique, responsive designs that take advantage of the real-time nature of the product.
