Design Intern - SCENE Magazine/NY Observer

SCENE, a monthly New York magazine publication, is seeking interns for summer/fall 2013. The ideal candidate should be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, with strong skills in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. The ability to color correct and basic skills in image editing are also essential, as is the ability to conduct photo research in a timely manner. Experience in graphic design and editorial layout are also preferred. Previous magazine and editorial experience is a plus, though it is not required. Interns will assist the art director with daily art and production responsibilities. Candidates must be organized and detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask in a high-stress, fast-paced work environment. Interns must reside in the greater New York City area and be able to work part time during the academic semester.
