South magazine--the award winning publication that celebrates the style of the new South--has an amazing career opportunity for a full time Art Director in our Savannah, GA office. Salary to be determined with experience. Responsibilities will include- Conceiving and executing designs for editorial layouts, ads, etc. Coordinate production of magazine with pre-press house and printer - Acquiring artwork - Assigning photography- Ensuring adherence to budgets and deadlines Qualifications and requirements include: - Ability to present own creative concepts and create original art elements (photography, illustration, typography, graphics) - Outgoing, enthusiastic, self-starting approach - Excellent communication, organization and computer skills - Prior experience in a design related field - Work closely with publisher and editor to execute and conceptualize our product through photography and design. Assocate Art Director

South is seeking a highly motivated person capable of multitasking in a fast pace environment to join our creative team. The Designer will assist the Creative Director on editorial, advertising and marketing design in both print and digital formats. A love for the publishing industry is a must. We are a small but effective team located in the heart of downtown in the hostess city of the South, Savannah, Georgia. Candidate must be self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines in a timely and efficient manner. This is a great opportunity for a junior designer to take on big responsibilities in a eclectic and artistic city. Digital experience is a big plus in this position.
