Mother Jones is looking for a creative director to keep our award-winning print and digital publication looking sharp and compelling in a fast-changing media landscape. The ideal candidate will be a smart, collaborative editorial designer who wants to work with a top-notch team of journalists dedicated to great content, from in-depth features to fast-paced online graphics and interactives. You have a passion for journalism in all its forms, backed up by solid experience and leavened by an experimental streak. You relish both big-picture brainstorming and hands-on design work; you're a genius at managing up, down, and sideways, from running your own department to coordinating a range of organizational needs. You're a nimble, even-tempered multitasker who enjoys the magic of conjuring great work from a limited budget and staff. Ten years of editorial design experience (print and digital) required.
