We are looking for creative people to intern with the Teen Vogue Editorial Art Department for Spring (starting in January 2013, finishing in May2013). This is a wonderful opportunity to gain work experience in the magazine industry. Applicants must be able to receive school credit! We are looking for people who can multi-task, who learn fast, have a desire to work in publication, have a passion for graphic design, and be skilled in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator; Photoshop a plus! You will be working closely everyday with the Designers, Art Director and Creative Director on various design projects, and gaining valuable experience. Interns are responsible for creating new design elements for the magazine, updating the books and minis, researching in the Conde Nast library for fashion stories, scanning important research material, ...etc. This is a very hands-on internship, interns are always busy! School credit is a must.

Freelance Assistant Designer

Teen Vogue is looking for a freelance assistant designer, starting as soon as possible til December 14. This person should be available 5 days a week for the given time period. They should possess strong skills Adobe platforms (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). This is a great opportunity to gain some experience in the magazine industry. We are looking for someone that can handle a fast-paced environment. They should be able to work with the team, but also be able to work confidently on their own. The duties will range from design workflow tasks (updating books/minis and some research). This position is ideal for recent graduates and other entry level applicants.

Freelance Art Assistant

Elle Decor is seeking a dynamic, driven individual to fill the role of freelance art assistant on the editorial team. Applicants must have a strong interest in both design and photography, possess great communication skills and a strong attention to detail, have excellent time-management skills, work with a budget-conscious mind with has a positive, can-do attitude.

This person should have working knowledge of InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.). Internship to 1 year of experience desired, applicant should be able to start as soon as possible (preferably before December 12th).

In addition to assisting the creative director, the person would also be responsible for the following:
- Scanning all film, or printing out digital images in contact sheets and trim for editing
- Setting up and dropping in art for all layouts
- Creating issue preview PDFs
- Creating mock-up book for Editor in Chief
- Creating PDFs of pages for iPad previews

Also includes basic office duties such as: scanning, ordering supplies, printing layouts and updating film cabinets and server with all film requirements, and any administrative duties that are required.
