Responsibilities: o Concept, research and secure the best video. o Assist creative department in tracking down the best footage for their specific spots, and search for general videos to add to library in between spots. o Take the lead in building out and managing the agency's video library. o Work quickly on multiple assignments under tight deadlines and roll with last-minute changes. o Be able to determine and evaluate quality and reproduction potential of images. o Generate a large and varied network of vendors and supplies, including stock, photographers, Apple's library, etc. and negotiate fees. o Ability to understand our aesthetic and the nuances of what we're looking for in each project.

Features Designer - U-T San Diego

Design Intern

FLAUNT Magazine is seeking a graphic design student for a non-paid, college-credit internship in its Los Angeles-based Art Department. The intern will assist in the daily workflow of the magazine. Duties will include: updating layouts, maintaining layout wall, minor imaging work, and some design. Candidates should have a strong interest in magazine publishing, good working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. A commitment of 2 days a week is required, from 10 am to 6 pm (flexible).

Design/Editing Internship, Variety

Variety, the premier entertainment resource, is seeking a Design/Editing Intern to join their Editorial Art department in the Los Angeles office. We are looking for journalism majors with a strong interest in the production side of print publications. Responsibilities include photo research, photo editing, page building and monitoring, chart creation, digital asset management and reporting. This internship pays $10.00 per hour and is based out of Variety's office in Los Angeles, CA.

Associate Art Director

The Hollywood Reporter, a weekly magazine based in Los Angeles has a position available for an Associate Art Director. Job duties include: designing all types of pages (front of book as well as features), commissioning illustrations, giving color-correction instructions to the pre-press team. Expertise in infographics would be ideal. You will be working closely with creative director and editors to see pages through from idea to completion.

Art Director, UCLA

The Art Director leads the in-house design team responsible for the design and production of the quarterly UCLA Magazine, as well as design projects and marketing campaigns for clients on campus. Projects include invitations and brochures, newspaper and magazine ads, admissions packets, signs and banners, and other marketing materials. While the emphasis is on print, some campaigns include a web or email component. On the magazine, the Art Director will work with the Design Director and Senior Designer to conceptualize and commission photography and illustration, design stories, and oversee the entire pre-press and proofing process. Successful candidates should have at least five years experience with the day-to-day workflow of magazines and significant hands-on experience with art directing photo shoots and illustration assignments. Also requires a sophisticated mastery of typography and graphic design techniques, primarily using Adobe Creative Suite on the Macintosh platform, to create and supervise the creation of effective materials. 

Junior Designer

The Hollywood Reporter, based in Los Angeles, is seeking a freelance junior designer immediately. Job duties include: designing department pages in the weekly magazine, designing for the website and ipad and helping with the general maintenance of the art and photo department. The ideal candidate should be hard-working with a great attitude. Occasional late nights can be expected since this is a weekly news-magazine.
