Imagine this: It's Friday, April 8th. You're feeling good because the work week is over, and better yet, it's Spring. So gather your buddies (even those in the office) and join SPD for a complimentary drink courtesy of Ron Zacapa and drink specials from our friends at The Ainsworth (122 W 26th Street.) Why you ask? Just because.

Your Moment of Type Zen #10

Okay, I'm not as cool as you are. I only made my first trip to Williamsburg a few months ago, to pick up my cousin. Who knew it was so groovy? Not me, I guess. I could have spent the entire day there taking pictures of amazing signs, but there was family to tend to. But I'll be back.

Ron Gabriel: The (almost) Graduate

Ron worked as a magazine art director until August 2009, when he left Hearst Magazines to pursue a MFA in Design from the School of Visual Arts. He worked for titles including Seventeen, New Woman, The New York Times Upfront, and CosmoGirl, as well as the international editions of Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar and Esquire. We first hooked up with Ron when he was just beginning his two-year stint as a graduate student in SVA's Designer as Author program, so we wanted to check in again as he prepares to graduate.
