Student Competition FAQ

Q.jpgI just found out about your Student Design Competition and I want to enter! Is the deadline really next Monday? That's just the first deadline, right? Where do I get the rules? Is there an entry form? What if I'm not in the U.S.? Assuming I win, what if I can't do the internship, should I still enter? And where do I get the story from ... do I have to write it myself?

A.jpgFor all you procrastinators and those who've just heard about our competition: never fear! You've still got a few more days to create an awesome entry and we've got all the answers to your questions here. Read on for all the gory details and then get to work!

- Yes, the deadline really is this coming Monday, March 7, 2011, at 5pm. This is not a fake deadline. There will be no extensions and no exceptions.

- For the rules and the entry form, download the official PDF here. And uh, you know you get 3 entries for FREE if you're a student member, right?

- Yes, you can enter even if you don't live in the U.S.

- As you've heard, one of the main competition prizes is a summer internship at a top magazine in NYC. If you win and can't do the internship because you already have one lined up or have other plans, don't let that stop you from entering! Should you win, we'll do our best to help work out a better internship schedule for you. And even if not, we've got lots of other great prizes (cash! Adobe software!), AND you'll get your work and your name in front of a lot of important people. Plus, who doesn't like adding impressive stuff to their resume?!?

- Speaking of "important people", have you checked out our awesome judges? These are people you DEFINITELY want your work in front of.

- No, you don't have to write the story. Get more details about that here.

- And here's some details about where to get the photos/artwork too.

Find out more details here. Get some last-minute tips here. And if you still have questions, email 'em to us at mail@spd.org.

Good luck! We look forward to seeing your great designs!
