Editorial Design Intern

Mediaplanet Publishing is seeking a 3rd or 4th year design student for a Summer 2013 internship. The ideal candidate is interested in gaining industry experience in the print, marketing, editorial, and publishing field. Intern will work under the lead designer and assist in daily work flow including: editing of layout templates, maintaining archives, creating mock editorial spreads, as well as assisting designers with publications, and designing at least one supplement in it's entirety by the end of the semester. Must be well organized, able to multi-task, and eager to learn. Must have a solid working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Potential for freelance work upon completion for the right candidate.

Freelance Editorial Designer

Mediaplanet Publishing is seeing freelance editorial designers to work in house approximately 3-4 days a week on an ongoing basis. Must have editorial/publishing experience. Freelancers will be working with established templates to design each supplement side by side with editors in a very fast paced environment. Must own your laptop with Adobe Creative Suite CS5 or higher and feel comfortable working on it in the office.

Freelance Editorial Designer

Mediaplanet is seeking freelance editorial designers to work on a project-by-project basis, in house and with an opportunity to work from home (depending on experience and reliability). Must have editorial/publishing experience. The ideal candidate is used to working under the pressure of short deadlines and quick turn around time in a fast paced environment. Can operate as an individual and as part of a team with the ability to problem solve quickly. Highly organized with an eye for detail and great communication skills over different mediums: email, phone, and in person. Print production experience is preferred. Must be advanced in Adobe Creative Suite.
