I hate to break this to you, but Cigar Aficionado ain't exactly tearing it up in the brilliant design category. The only thing that differentiates this cover from any one of a hundred similar celebrity-driven portraits is the inclusion of a stogie. Next...!!!

Hey…are we in here to air kiss each other or give our opinions? The design of Cigar Aficionado is totally stuck in the 80's. Exactly what do you see that would warrant it's inclusion in the Cover of the Day, aside from the fact that maybe you like Ron Perlman? And this is not taking anything away from Brian's portrait…it's perfectly groovy. But even if the design was worthwhile, I'm certainly not gonna stick up for M. Shanken and their work-for-hire ways...
