he Kitchn is the top independent online food publication, with over 23 million monthly readers. We are looking for a full-time Photographer to join us in our sunny and fun Soho office! This new position will report to the Art Director and will assist in the aesthetic growth and development of the brand.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Art Director and in-house Food Stylist to create original content for TheKitchn.com
Responsible for shooting, editing, and file management for The Kitchn.
Sets a tone for high quality photographic standards and produce high quality photography that is consistent with brand standards
Ensure consistent execution against briefs, while ensuring daily and weekly production goals are met and exceeded.
Assist in special projects and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
3+ years of photographic experience in food and lifestyle photography.
BFA in photography or related field preferred.
Technical experience with still life photography, studio lighting and photo retouching.
Photographic portfolio demonstrating a high proficiency in digital photography, lighting, composition and creativity.
Proficiency with industry software (Adobe Photoshop CS6, Lightroom, and Capture One Pro)
Adept in prop styling and location scouting.
Knowledge in a variety of color management and photo workflows
A cheerful, enthusiastic, and flexible work ethic and sense of humor.
