Devin Pedzwater, Promoted to CD for SPIN Media

Congrats to Devin Pedzwater, recently named the Creative Director of SPIN Media Inc. He oversees the design, photography, illustration and typography of the magazine and all of the company's digital properties including SPIN.com, SPIN Digital Editions, SPIN earth and the newly launched iPhone application. He was previously Design Director of SPIN magazine. (Devin, please tell us more about SPIN earth!! -- Ed.)

T.J. Tucker Promoted to CD of Texas Monthly

T.J. Tucker joined Texas Monthly in April 2003 as associate art director and was promoted to art director in June 2006. Musical Chairs has learned that Tucker has again been promoted, this time to the position of creative director, where he will continue to oversee the magazine's art department as well as TexasMonthly.com and the company's other branding efforts.

Arem Duplessis, Promoted to DD for the NY Times Magazines

Arem Duplessis, AD for The New York Times Magazine since 2004, has been promoted to a newly-created DD position, where he will oversee both T and Key magazines in print and online, as well as continuing his work with the weekly Times Magazine. The announcement included word that David Sebbah and Chris Martinez will remain Sr. AD and AD, respectively, for T, The New York Times Style Magazine.

Susan Casey, New Editor at Oprah

Mediaweek reports this morning that Susan Casey, longtime Time Inc. development editor, former editor of SI for Women and Creative Director at Outside, is taking the helm at Hearst's O, the Oprah Magazine. She replaces Susan Reed, who stepped into the position about a year ago.
